On September 20, 1414 Swahili sailors transhipped a giraffe to China. The black visitors brought this animal as a gift to the Chinese emperor. One group of sailors were not as fortunate. In California a group of black-skinned Indians were discovered. Studies show these 'Black Indians' are descendants of shipwrecked Swahili sailors.
